# It is not possible to specify the user in "created\_by" when creating a comment using the /api/v2/meta/comments method

Because of this, users in the web interface lose the ability to delete or edit comments that they have created earlier through the meta api

Solution options:

1. Give the opportunity to specify the author comment through the API
2. Or enable users with the Creator or Owner role to edit/delete all comments
