# Trigger manual actions from individual records

I’m managing a project where I need to trigger actions directly from individual records. When I review a record, I’d like to have an option to send the record’s data to Slack.

Currently I’m manually copying data from the record and pasting it - pretty time consuming. Ideally, I want a solution that doesn’t require switching between multiple tools.

Sorry, its not clear how are you triggering actions (what is action?) and to where are you copy-pasting the data.

Looks like you should use [buttons](https://docs.nocodb.com/fields/field-types/custom-types/button/)
