Hey,

I am new to nocodb and evaluating it currently as an Airtable replacement.

Unfortunately, my first tests on Heroku were not super successful. Here is my main issue:

1. After importing an Excel, I could not change the field type from SingleLineText to Number, it says “Update table failed”.

try to set the column as number before importing

thanks will try this. Is excel import different in terms of DB structure compared to a table I create in the frontend?

It is similar. We try predicting the column types based on the values using an underlying lib. This is not 100% foolproof
