Hi there, once again. I’m trying to setup NocoDB via Docker on a Digital Ocean droplet.
(I’m new to running servers, so I’d be glad if a community member could help me out on this one.)
I can reach my droplet by pinging it from my local machine, but I cannot launch the webapp from my local machine, even though I configured NocoDB’s docker image to use the host network.
Specifying a port I get nowhere
ping: cannot resolve *server IP*:8080: Unknown host
and without the port I get a ping back
`ping server IP
PING server IP (server IP): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from server IP: icmp_seq=0 ttl=55 time=19.492 ms`
So my question is: am I missing some configuration to deploy NocoDB?
Could you share Docker configuration for NocoDB that you have used?
I hope this helps.
I quickly tried setting up NocoDB over Digitial ocean using their Managed Apps feature. Went through fine.
If you are available, we can get on a Zoom call to check further.
Steps that I had used to create Managed App, in case if you wish to try it out
2. Click ‘Create App’
3. Choose Source: Select “Docker Hub”
4. Repository: type “nocodb/nocodb”
5. Next page, keep everything default (port number et.al)
6. Optionally, pick a name for your web-service && Region near you
7. Select plan, click ‘Launch Pro App’
It will take a minute for setting up & provide URL for the application!
Alright, the Managed Apps-feature seems to be quite nifty for a quick spin.
But if you could have a look at my current setup on a Zoom-call, that would be kindly appreciated.
The idea is to selfhost our NocoDB-instance.
Sure. Will DM you Zoom link.
Wait, can you give me 10-15 minutes?
Allright, I’m back and ready.
