Should I import the metadata ? after sync [Apr 05]

:raising_hand_man: Kratos asked

Hey everyone

I’m using a Heroku PostgreSQL database for nocoDB and I have added around 5 tables. the tables work fine but I forgot to keep primary key for one table so then I connected to Heroku PostgreSQL on my pc and ran some sql commands to make one of the columns a primary key(i.e. alter table table_name … ). I can confirm that the column is a primary key(checked the table multiple times) but it does not update in nocoDB as a primary key.

I made only one of them as a primary key. The table had records before I kept it in nocoDB. I want to make it a primary key so I can edit/update the rows when im in nocoDB.

Metadata is synced and I also refreshed the tables and it has been 6 hours since I made it a primary key, should I import the metadata then? need help…

not necessary

if its all synced

No what im trying to say is that its not synced because in nocoDB the said column is not a primary key and I cant edit the table.

In reality the column is a primary key which I checked.

ok, like all tables created in nocodb have a primary key - how was that missed ?

may be you can take a screenshot and paste it here

of what you are seeing in a db client and nocodb

+ primary keys are not shown by default

you would have to hover on fields and click ‘show system fields’

Okay I fixed this issue

You need to clear the metadata at the project list in the dashboard page and then open the project.
